Expatting

My name is Allen, and my partner's name is Laure (pronounced like “Laurie”, but no “i”). We're your fairly typical GenXers just stepping into our fifties. We love Star Wars, The Goonies, and Indiana Jones, and we have a love for Joe Versus the Volcano that is difficult to explain. You either get it or you don't.

During the colder months (of which there is an abundance here), we both enjoy an evening at home flinging obscenities at the PS5 or the Switch or playing board games and TTRPGs when the scheduling gods are feeling particularly benevolent. Then during the summers we love to be outdoors, camping in our home-built teardrop trailer and paddling around Montana's lakes and rivers.

Laure

Laure enjoys photography, loves to bake, cook, kill things mercilessly on her PS5, and lay out in the sun at every opportunity. She also takes yearly solo trips to random places around the world, and has a lot of fun adventures.

Allen

Allen has worked in IT since AltaVista was the king of search engines. He loves Futurama, building random Raspberry Pi-based gadgets, and probably plays too much Minecraft.
